Company Development

ODIN has developed a wide variety of flowmeters along its 12 years of operation in the Argentine market.
The rotameter (variable-area flowmeter) was the first product manufactured by ODIN which was launched to the market in 1990. Its applications have rapidly satisfied the needs of liquid and gas markets in a significant number of industries.

A few years later, the on-line turbine for liquid measurement was developed. It was first intended for use in oil fields, but soon extended to the entire chemical and petrochemical industries as well as fuel dispatch plants.

In 1993 we added the insert turbine which got a big welcome in markets dealing with the measurement of drinking water flowing along large pipes from 2" to 24". A new application was found for insert turbines in 1997. They started being used as flowmeters for irrigation, in the areas of Cuyo and other intensive crop valleys irrigated artificially in the provinces of Salta, La Rioja and Neuquen.

We launched our first turbines for gas measurement in 1996. Their new electronic units are capable of correcting readings to convert them into linear readings thus compensating pressure and temperature variations.

Our electromagnetic flowmeters conquered three markets as soon as they were launched in 1999: the oil and water market on one hand, and the food sector for milk and wine measurement on the other. They are still in their development stage because new applications are being found.

In 2003 we developed our positive displacment meters product line, equipment specialy designed to measure viscous fluids with great accuracy and a long life. Based on oval gears, they are appropriate for measuring viscous fluids and small volumes.
